How Does It Work?

Groomit provides professional pet grooming services directly to your home through two primary options: in-home grooming and mobile van grooming. Here's how each service works:

Mobile Van Grooming:

  1. Booking an Appointment: Use the Groomit website or mobile app to schedule a mobile grooming session, providing your pet's details.
  2. Groomer Arrival: A fully-equipped mobile grooming van arrives at your location at the scheduled time.
  3. Grooming Session: Your pet is groomed inside the van, which contains all necessary grooming facilities, including running water, grooming tables, and dryers.
  4. Completion: Once the grooming is complete, your pet is returned to you, looking and feeling refreshed

In-Home Grooming:

  1. Booking an Appointment: Schedule a grooming session via the Groomit website or mobile app by providing details about your pet, including breed, size, and specific grooming needs.
  2. Groomer Arrival: A professional groomer arrives at your home at the scheduled time, equipped with the necessary tools and supplies.
  3. Grooming Session: The groomer sets up in a suitable area within your home, such as a bathroom or laundry room, and performs services like bathing, brushing, hair trimming or styling, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and dental hygiene.
  4. Completion and Cleanup: After grooming, the groomer cleans up the workspace, leaving your home as it was before the session.

How Do I Book an Appointment?

  1. Open the Groomit app or website.
  2. Choose your package and add-ons.
  3. Select a date and time that suits you.
  4. Confirm your booking.

Can I Book Multiple Pets?

You can book multiple dogs or multiple cats in a single appointment. Dogs and cats cannot be booked together in the same appointment.

How Long Does Grooming Take?

On average, grooming takes 1-3 hours, depending on the pet’s size, coat condition, and selected services.

When Will I Be Charged?

Once you book your appointment, the charge will be applied to all packages.

How Can I Tip My Groomer?

Tip via the app or website under “My Appointments” after the service. Cash tips are also accepted.

Why Verify My Credit Card?

Verification protects against fraud. A temporary debit may appear for verification purposes. A small verification amount will be charged to your card, and you should enter the exact amount reflected on your statement. The amount/s will be voided automatically within 24 hours.

What Is the De-Matting Fee?

The de-matting fee covers the additional time, attention, and specialized care required to safely remove matting from your pet's coat. It also accounts for the extra wear and maintenance on grooming tools and equipment used during the process.

Rescheduling and Cancellation

Cancellation Policy

We understand that plans can change, and we aim to keep our policy fair for both customers and groomers. When you book a grooming session, our groomers reserve that time slot exclusively for you, meaning they cannot accept other appointments.

If a cancellation occurs too close to the appointment time, the groomer may lose income and have difficulty filling that slot. Once the groomer is on the way or has arrived, they have already invested time, gas, and effort, which is why cancellation and rescheduling fees are structured accordingly.

Recurring Bookings

  • Each appointment in a recurring plan is treated separately for cancellations and reschedules.
  • You can cancel your entire recurring plan at any time without paying any fees. However, upcoming appointments from your plan that have already been charged will have the same cancellation & rescheduling policy as above.
  • If you cancel an appointment within the cancellation period (e.g., less than 24 hours before service time, when the groomer is on the way, or after arrival), standard cancellation fees will apply.

This policy ensures fairness while keeping bookings flexible. We appreciate your understanding that last-minute changes affect not only your groomer but also other pet parents who may have needed that slot.

How Do I Edit My Profile?

  • Pet Profile: Go to “My Pets” and press the edit button.
  • Payment Methods: Add or delete cards under “Payment Methods.”
  • Addresses: Edit addresses under “My Addresses.”

How Do I Rebook an Appointment?

Find your last appointment under “Completed” and select “Rebook.”

What If the App Doesn’t Work?

What is a recurring booking?

A recurring booking allows you to schedule regular grooming appointments for your pet at set intervals—every 4, 6, 8, or 12 weeks. By opting for a recurring plan, you ensure your pet stays well-groomed while also enjoying exclusive discounts based on the chosen frequency:

  • 12-week frequency → 7% discount
  • 8-week frequency → 10% discount
  • 6-week & 4-week frequency → 15% discount

Recurring booking is ideal for busy pet parents who want to ensure their pets always look and feel their best. It’s also perfect for health-conscious owners who understand the importance of a consistent grooming schedule as recommended by experts.

How do I set up a recurring booking?

You can set up a recurring booking directly in our app or website. During the booking process, select a package, and you will be presented with two options: "One-Time" or "Recurring." Choose "Recurring" to set up your plan, and then select the frequency that works best for you (4, 6, 8, or 12 weeks).

  • 12-week frequency → 7% discount
  • 8-week frequency → 10% discount
  • 6-week & 4-week frequency → 15% discount

How is my recurring booking scheduled?

Your recurring booking will be scheduled based on your selected frequency, time, and groomer. We will aim to keep the same groomer, day, and time as previous appointments whenever possible.

What happens if I reschedule a booking?

If you reschedule a booking, future recurring appointments will automatically adjust based on the new date of your last grooming service, ensuring your pet stays on a consistent schedule.

When will I be charged for recurring bookings?

You will be charged 7 days before each appointment. At this time, you will also receive a notification to inform you of the charge. This notification gives you the chance to adjust the date, time, or cancel the appointment if needed.

Can I change the frequency or time?

Yes, you can update your schedule anytime by selecting a new frequency. Date and Time will be available to be updated once the appointment is created 7 days before the upcoming appointment.

Do I pay upfront?

No, you are charged individually for each appointment, 7 days before the scheduled date. This ensures flexibility and convenience for managing your recurring bookings. Recurring appointments can be canceled at no charge until the appointment is billed, then, it will be subject to the standard cancellation policy for any upcoming schedule.

What happens if I cancel my subscription?

There are no charges for canceling your recurring subscription. However, if an appointment has already been charged, cancellation policies will apply for that specific appointment.

Can I get a refund on appointmets created?

Each appointment in a recurring plan is treated separately for cancellations and reschedules.
You can cancel your entire recurring plan at any time without paying any fees. However, upcoming appointments from your plan that have already been charged will have the regular cancellation & rescheduling policy.

What happens if my groomer is unavailable?

If your groomer is unavailable, we will notify you and offer you the option to reschedule with the same groomer at a later time or book with another groomer based on your preferences.

Can I transfer to another pet?

Yes, you can transfer a recurring appointment to another pet within the same household. Please contact our support team to make the necessary adjustments.
